Stu Craig (esarsea)
Leave a commentBorn and raised in the scenic Puget Sound region of Washington State, I enjoyed the somewhat idealistic childhood of having a hard-working and dedicated family man father, a loving stay-at-home mother, and having both my maternal and paternal grandparents living within walking distance of my home – all playing an active role in my life.
I joined the local volunteer fire dept as a sophmore in high school and continued on as a full-time employee after graduation, completing paramedic training and serving as Lieutanant and Medical Division Training Officer for 13 years.
I transitioned from public service to private industry, accepting a position as VP/GM of a small corporation that operated a fleet of ambulances and tow trucks, a dispatch center, telephone answering service and alarm monitoring center. It was here that I met the love of my life and wife, Mary-Anne. Sometimes I remind her that she used to work for me…and then she reminds me, “That was then – this is now!”
The last 20 years have been spent in the freight brokerage and third party logistics industry, as both an employee and a business owner.
4 children (2 sons and 2 bonus daughters) with 5 grandkids so far. Hobbies include music, boating, no-limit Texas Hold’em, blogging and working on various home-based remodel and landscape projects.
